Steve McNair Found Dead.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.

The incident happened near 2nd Avenue South & Lea Avenue in a residence Steve McNair was renting.

The call came into police at 1:35 p.m. A crowd began to gather in the area where Steve McNair's body was found Saturday afternoon.

"When police officers arrived in response to that call, they found two individuals who had been shot to death inside the residence: one female, one male. We now know that the male deceased is Steve McNair. The female deceased has been tentatively identified. We're working to confirm that and then notify her next of kin," said Don Aaron with Metro Police on the situation.

According to police, there were no signs of forced entry at the crime scene. While the female victim's identity has not been released, police are confirming she is not Mechelle McNair.

"There were persons who were around the complex today who have been taken to headquarters for questioning," Don Aaron explained. However, he made it clear that there were no suspects in custody at the time.

According to Don Aaron, no suspects have been taken into custody. Several people were being taken to police headquarters for questioning, so police could get information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths.

The breaking of the sound barrier is not just an audible phenomenon. As a new picture from the U.S. military shows, Mach 1 can be quite visual.

This widely circulated new photo shows a Air Force F-22 Raptor aircraft participating in an exercise in the Gulf of Alaska June 22, 2009 as it executes a supersonic flyby over the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.

The visual phenomenon, which sometimes but not always accompanies the breaking of the sound barrier, has also been seen with nuclear blasts and just after space shuttles launches, too. A vapor cone was photographed as the Apollo 11 moon-landing mission rocketed skyward in 1969.

The phenomenon is not well studied. Scientists refer to it as a vapor cone, shock collar, or shock egg, and it's thought to be created by what's called a Prandtl-Glauert singularity.

Breaking News!!! Bird Flu now Swine Flu??? This Just In.

Once again the question is what is really going on. If you have not seen the movie V for Vendetta then you might feel left out but check it out. It makes for a good Saturday night movie. Anyway, thing theme about the movie was the power of an idea. I will not spoil for you. Have you ever seen a movie like Equilibrium, where everything is the society is controlled by government and you were not allowed to feel emotions? Back to the present situation, is this natural or an unnatural occurrence? That the question I asked because we know that fear is used as a factor of control. Like cattle so some one had said. Will this affect my life in a manner in which I wear a mask on my face? With economical decline that follow that doesn't seem so distant. I just a reporter and that is my spin on it. MEXICO CITY – A deadly new swine flu strain that has killed at least 20 people in Mexico City and sickened more than 1,000 has "pandemic potential," the World Health Organization chief said Saturday — but some fear it may be too late to contain the outbreak.

With 24 new suspected cases of the swine flu reported Saturday, Mexico City said schools would remain closed and all public events suspended until further notice — including more than 500 concerts, sporting events and other gatherings including the popular weekly bicycle rides on streets closed to traffic.

A hotline set up the previous day fielded 2,366 calls from frightened city residents who suspected they might have the disease. City Health Secretary Armando Ahued said 10 new possible cases of infection have been discovered in the metropolis of 20 million people.

Officials say more than 1,000 people have been infected nationwide. Tests show 20 people have died of the swine flu, and 48 other deaths were probably due to the same strain.

This virus is a mix of human, pig and bird strains that has epidemiologists around the world deeply concerned. The World Health Organization convened in Geneva Saturday to consider whether to declare an international public health emergency — a step that could lead to travel advisories, trade restrictions and border closures.

The agency's director-general, Margaret Chan, said the outbreak involves "an animal strain of the H1N1 virus, and it has pandemic potential" — but it is too early to say whether a pandemic will actually occur.

The CDC and Canadian health officials were studying samples sent from Mexico, and some governments in Asia and Latin America began monitoring passengers arriving on flights from Mexico.

But it may be too late to contain the outbreak, given how widespread the known cases are. If the confirmed deaths are the first signs of a pandemic, then cases are probably incubating around the world by now, said Dr. Michael Osterholm, a pandemic flu expert at the University of Minnesota.

The same virus also sickened at least eight people in Texas and California, though there have been no deaths north of the border, puzzling experts at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

No vaccine specifically protects against swine flu, and it is unclear how much protection current human flu vaccines might offer.
