A Poetic Moment

Do you remember when you grew up? I know it might take some longer than other to remember but do you. I know everybody childhood wasn't picture perfect cause everybody had a burden or two to bare but do you remember? Do you remember how easy it was just to close your eyes and escape from the madness and be in that safe place where no one could find you. That place where life was perfect cause your wishes and dreams came true in a wink and time seem to just stand still. A place where your friends who were true to you and they were real cause they didn't know how to be fake. A place that is not on any body's map except your own. You was they only one with the key. Do you remember that place? Then what happen? I will tell you what happen.

We grew up chasing material things cause of the way of the World. Cause once you take a bite of that forbidden fruit of life you lose your innocent and the world looks different now. You feel like everything and and everyone is out to get you and there is no more hiding places. Then you feel like animal trapped in a corner with fear in your eyes cause the scary part is the unknown. What will happen next is your heart is pounding and the blood rushes through your veins and darkness falls.
Your last thoughts is about that place where life is perfect and dreams come true.

A Storm with in a Perfect Storm

Let me start by saying this, "In the end it will not matter how much you have".
Why such a dark start you ask, try starting your life over after a hurricane like Gustav destroys everything. I live in baton rouge, la where the power was out for days, the food supplies lines were cut, and some people committed suicide cause the pressure was so great. During these hard times i could not think of anything but my life and my sanity. Even though I have my life, I sometime question my sanity cause trying to recover is even harder. I feel dead cause this is not living when you are living paycheck to paycheck and one small thing like a hurricane blow you up out the water.

I been trying to pray to God but i don't know if he hears me cause i know i have not been a saint or and thing related to good so i don't know. I hope he does hear me cause i don't won't to die. I feel like i am headed for self destruction cause it feel like its all gone wrong. Its funny cause it's the truth. Some people will say "Don't worry about it cause everything will be alright". And I will say "Lets trade place".

This 2008 year has been the year that i have been bitten, burned and slapped by life. To be honest i didn't think being on your own was so hard. I understand why people live on the streets cause no one is there for you when you need them the most. If you are reading this then i want you to help somebody besides yourself cause you might need help one day.

A Reflection On Life.

Today, I woke up and found that Bernie Mac the comedian is dead. I know people die everyday and this is nothing new but it made me think about my mortality. How long do i have to live is the question i ask myself and what have i done with my life. When i say "It's not about the money", I mean that cause money can't buy you nothing after your gone. If some say you can buy something after your, please send me the receipt. The only two thing i can think about that will be left behind is my body and this blog.

Interesting, I guess you can call me a neo mnemonic johnny on the blog or the ghost in the machine. I just had a brush with mortality this morning and seeing that news this morning just made me think things. What more important in life, pleasing man or pleasing God. Think about it, I don't worship money by no means. I just use it as a tool to help somebody else and that how it works.

Anyway, thank you for time and continue to check back with cause you never what i might post next. I think i want to make this thing political cause i am not going to get caught in the cross. What do i mean you ask, America is going broke i might have to learn how to speak Chinese in order to be a head in this new world order of things. Just stay posted.

I would like to share something new with you.

As I have gotten older, I have learned that your attitude is derived from your perception of the given situation. What you see is what it is. Right? Wrong, we both know that our eyes can play tricks on us. The lights and the shadows might give us the illusion that something is there when that is not true. It is a trick on the mind of an unsuspecting person who wants to believe that all that they see is true. You might be asking yourself, "What does this have to do with attitude?" and I tell you it has everything to do with it.

I grew thinking that I could change the world. It was easy to do from what I saw. Yep, I figured that people didn't need to live poor because the Earth has many natural resources. The Earth makes food the birds so I am sure it makes food for humans too. The Earth also provides shelter for the bears in the woods so I know it has housing for homo-sapiens. Mind you, I was like ten years old when my attitude was simple and optimistic about the world.

Since I have gotten older and lived some of live, I learned that the world or the present set of idea of civilization is built on the capitalization of its fellow man with out any though of future preservation of anything. Just think about it, what happens when there is nothing left to produce and the consumers can't consume. Then what do you have left? A dead world.

I thought I was put on this planet for a reason. Remember, I told you I thought I could change the world. Huh, my attitude has changed from fantasy to reality. Long gone are the days of childhood bliss and simplicity. Now I live in the days where every man is for himself.
